A new look at the coming-of-age genre with films that explore personal identity, shared experiences and giving a voice to those experiencing the trials of youth.
The Trials of Youth season presents 5 deeply-emotional narratives that reflect on the realities of adolescence. Coming-of-age stories are commonly watched for light enjoyment, drama and comedy, and this program aims to capture these desires while also inviting audiences to engage in global perspectives.
We invite viewers to watch these films and explore the unifying aspects of growing up. This program features a variety of tones, both lighter and darker moments.
