Anemoia
Something is off about the simple, rustic life that Daughter and Father share together in the wilderness. While he is cold and stand-offish, speaking few words of the strange European language they share, she is childlike despite being fully grown, prone to disappearing into the woods and self-harming with a detached curiosity.
The illusion, rough as it may be, is shattered one day by the arrival of something that Daughter has never seen before: another human being. As her father grows increasingly paranoid and militant in his attempts to keep the outside world away from them, the young woman begins to explore the possibility that the simple life she knows is more complex – and more enticing – than she’s been allowed to believe.

Director Biography
Born and raised in the ACT, Dan graduated from the University of Canberra with a Bachelor of Film Production in 2017. After spending the next few years working on various local productions, as well as writing and directing several shorts of their own, Dan finally decided to bite the proverbial bullet and move to Melbourne in search of a more vibrant and flourishing film community.
Dan strives to make films that are both deeply personal but a little abstracted, embracing a lifelong love of the genre’s ability to find secret, less obvious pathways into difficult topics.
