Carer

20m Short, Deaf and disabled 2024

Mitch, a disability support worker, has run out of his mood stabilising medication on the day he is working with Connor, a young man with Down syndrome. Mitch’s professionalism is tested as he tries to obtain his medication whilst caring for Connor, who notices that something is amiss. The film explores the nuances of their relationship, which is at once transactional and yet a genuine friendship.
