Imani is paired with her long-time crush, Iki, on a school project. During their studies, Iki opens up to her, revealing his secret shamanic hobby.

Deciding to pursue him in spite of her friend’s warnings, Imani puts up with Iki’s mystical antics, seeking to impress him by becoming someone she’s not. But when her efforts fail and she is forced to sit with her self-loathing, Imani gets the opportunity to realise that her true self is what really matters.

Nadia Syarifah is an Indonesian filmmaker, with a background in Psychology and Screen Studies. She is passionate about comedy and making stories about girlhood and growing up. She amplifies the voices of people of colour in a fun and heartfelt way, covering the nuances of their daily lives, with the aim of expanding the representation of Indonesian women in film.
