Lack Thereof

12m Drama, Experimental 2024

Arriving at a small house party in the passenger seat of a car, Tal is feeling out of place. First, they are approached and interrogated by a partygoer; next, they are invited to listen to the story of a violent incident that occurred at a doof that was supposedly a ‘safe space’.

After rolling a cigarette for a stranger who reveals that they have also arrived on their own – and then promptly disappears – Tal becomes aware that the house is empty. Outside, they discover a threatening situation, and must intervene to protect someone from harm. But further danger is lurking in the bushes…
