The King of California has been slain. His beautiful son roams the city, not yet ready to assume the responsibilities that come with the title. His paranoia at an all-time high, this newly crowned king attempts to hide from the treacherous peasants who beheaded his beloved father. Armed with a hammer, he disfigures himself; the darkness washes over him, allowing him to escape from the light. As his beauty bleeds out in a desolate alleyway, his loyal fool guides him to his scheming girlfriend, “Hollywood” Heidi Holly.

Unable to handle the pressure, unable to handle his eternal loss, the young king experiences a nervous breakdown. Without his father, he is nothing. Without his beauty, he is nothing. Without his kingdom, he is dirt. The reign of darkness has begun.
