Dark Matter

10m Indie, Short 2024

Dark Matter is a short essay film. The first film in 8 years from Leo Berkeley, a revered Melbourne independent filmmaker for over 40 years. Now in the later stages of MS (Multiple Sclerosis), Leo is a wheelchair user. Spending his days staring out the window of his apartment. The film shows him trying to solve the biggest question in physics - a solution to the theory of everything. While struggling with the cigarette butts and other rubbish falling onto his apartment balcony from the neighbours above.
