Dude and The Boys
After years of repetition, every day has become the same for Dude and The Boys: work, build things, eat pies and drink beers. It’s Dude and The Boys forever: they’re the rulers of their coastal town, with Dude at the helm. But tonight, something is different – Dude is different.
When Dude discovers that he has a secret urge he can’t control, The Boys’ simple paradise begins to unravel. Can the friendship group really stay together through anything, or will Dude’s secret be one thing duct tape and loyalty can’t fix? And what’s more important, after all: blending in, or following your heart?

Director bio:
Writer/director Samara Herpich is a regional storyteller hailing from Warrnambool, currently based in Melbourne. Her work reclaims small-town identity and reshapes it through humour, emotional honesty and a touch of absurdity, seeing her write, direct and edit a variety of short films that reflect this style. When she’s not spending her time woefully staring at the ocean for inspiration, she can also be found writing, painting and acting.Bachelor of Fine Arts (Film and Television)
