For Fare

4m Animation, Adventure, Fantasy, Coming of Age 2025

A young man awakens in the back seat of a taxi, disoriented and stripped of memory. Confused about how he arrived there, he embarks on a conversation with his eccentric taxi driver, who quietly guides him through familiar places and brief moments of recollection.

Together, they unravel memories of childhood and the moments that shaped him. What begins as a search for answers becomes a reflection on memory and the impermanence of being.

Director bio:

Elias Tjeng Yee Ng is a Singaporean-born Australian animator. His body of work has explored the usage of traditional 2D animation, 3D and the mixture of both. He is highly interested in the effects that art style can have on changing the tone of a film and our ability to extrapolate our own personalised messages within art and media. He aims to one day create a work that will provide viewers with this insight.
