Starcrossed
Catrin, an astronomer, has been observing a star in the sky for years, studying her every day and night. One night, the star falls to Earth, and Catrin runs to meet her through the snowy fields that surround her house.
When Catrin finds the crash site, their eyes meet, and love blossoms. The star doesn’t talk, but she doesn’t need to. She pulls Catrin in and they begin to dance, before floating up into the air together.

Director bio:
Suniva Miller is a storyteller artist based in Melbourne who works primarily with hand-drawn 2D animation and illustration. A graduating Bachelor of Fine Arts (Animation) student, Suniva grounds her art practice in reality, focusing on telling stories classically and enhancing traditional or digital 2D animation with modern techniques. Her work predominantly explores the complexity of relationships and human emotions. As each person’s earthly experience is unique, attempting to capture the essence of these stories may allow for someone to feel as though they are less alien; having always found more comfort in film than with other people, Suniva wishes for everyone to feel like they are not alone in the world.
