Whispering in the Soil

13m Drama 2025

Living alone in the countryside, Brian plants sunflowers as an anchor for his Buddhist practice. One day, he receives a voicemail from his former classmate Jo, who – seemingly oblivious to the trauma she inflicted on Brian when they were in middle school – informs him that she’s returning to their hometown.

When the two reconnect in his backyard after a thunderstorm, Brian offers Jo an opportunity for redemption by bringing up their childhood experiences, but her dismissive response leaves him helpless. As the landscape and soundscape project his desire to free himself from his memories, Brian seeks spiritual salvation from the confines he has embedded within his mind.
